Fake music sells more

I'm a big believer in generic brands. If I can save 50 cents buying the Kroger-brand Mac n' Cheese, I won't even hesitate. So why couldn't the same principle apply to our music? It seems music piracy affects 3 out 4 CD's and the bootleg versions are out selling the real thing. The way I see it, at least there are people out there still willing to pay for music.
