The Logo Channel, a gay and lesbian themed cable channel, debuted Thursday. It features a mix of original programs and existing ones. While there are two other networks that have recently launched to target this demographic, Logo has the power of Viacom's media empire behind it and looks to have better name recognition. It plans to follow a programming format similar to MTV as it looks to tap into this underserved market.
