All the cartoons of our youth seem to be finding new life on the screen. Just months after the official announcement of a Transformers movie coming to the big screen, now the Smurfs join the party as well. Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights and is planning to make a trilogy of Smurf films with the first debuting in 2008, the 50th anniversary of the blue anomalies. They are planning on doing the film in 3-D CGI. Did you ever wonder what happened to all the female Smurfs?
