The "Funniest Man in America," Chris Rock, is about to bring his quick wit and abrasive humor into primetime this fall with his new show, Everybody Hates Chris. Based on his childhood and narrated by Rock himself, the show is said to have "a lot of buzz about it because it looks like UPN has a show for the first time that could conceivably be a grand slam out of the park," said Sharianne Brill, analyst for the ad-buying firm Carat USA. This is a much hyped show that has already been labeled "the best new show of the season" by the Broadcasting & Cable magazine's poll of TV critics. Everybody Hates Chris premieres 8 p.m. EDT September 22 on the UPN network.
