Kristen Hall has decided to part ways with Sugarland to focus more on writing songs. Hall penned most of the band's hit debut Twice the Speed of Life and also contributed vocal and guitar work. Remaining members, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush issued the statement "Kristen has decided that she wants to stay home and write songs, and we support her in that decision." Universal Music said the band would still continue as a group and will open for Kenny Chesney on his tour beginning March 23.
