A season filled with wonder over whether USC or Texas was the best team in the nation was answered tonight at the Rose Bowl. Vince Young put on a highlight reel, passing for 267 yards and running for 200. The clinching victory touchdown came with 19 seconds remaining on fourth down as Young ran the ball in from 8 yards to seal the 41 to 38 victory. Reggie Bush was largely shut down and Leinart was mediocre at best as Lendale White kept USC in contention. It was an amazing win that capped three days of sensational bowl action. How can anyone think pro football has a tenth of the heart and drive of college ball after watching a game like that?
