Seminal 80s band the Smiths have turned down a potential 5 million dollar payday to reunite at the Coachella Music Festival in California according to former Smiths frontman Morrissey. The announcement came during a media conference where Moz put to rest reunion rumors with the statement, "It was a fantastic journey. And then it ended. I didn't feel we should have ended. I wanted to continue. (Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr) wanted to end it. And that was that." Morrissey said that writing for his forthcoming album Ringleader of the Tormentors (due April 4th) is coming from a much more positive place.
