After a seven-day stay in the water bubble, world record chaser and publicity hound, David Blaine, came up short. He held his breath for 7 minutes and 8 seconds, a full minute and fifty seconds short of the record. The fruit loop didn't need to stay submerged for six days to conquer the record, but it looked more sensational for the ABC special David Blaine: Drowned Alive. Its not known if his failed attempt will push him on to take on the challenge again.
