‘the Office’ Spin-Off Takes Shape
It turns out the Office Spin-Off isn’t so much an Office spin-off after all. Ready to have your brains scrambled? Rashida Jones (Jim’s ex Karen Filippelli) has signed on to the yet untitled project, but her character will be named Ann Logan, a nurse whose boyfriend has a strange injury. Also attached to the Greg Daniels produced project are SNL alum Amy Poehler (Baby Mama) and comedian Aziz Ansari (Human Giant). Filming is set to begin in early ’09 with a debut planned for the spring or the following fall. At least early rumors like “we’d be losing Dwight” turned out to be unfounded.
